I've owned this 68 promo for 40 years.
I remember the day I bought it.

I decaled and bare
metaled all of my promos.

This promo was in a drawer in my
basement when we got flooded.
(prior house) After the flood I
cleaned this car up and put new
wheels and chrome on it and some
Cady decals. It looks good as new!

I used the Monogram chassis
and engines to build the
66 Hurst Hairey Olds.

I shortened and narrowed the frame
and used the 66 AMT body. That's
my decal on the body side.

This was the first model I completed in
this shop. It was also the first model I
ever bought from Tom Carter. I think
even back then (1978) he was Hobby
Heaven.

Ever see a black 69 H/O? Probably
not. This is the phantom in my
collection.

The 1972 Hurst/Olds pace car is my
favorite H/O of all time. I did some of
the artwork for Fred on this car. A
picture of this car is on Fred's website.

It had a bench seat and a 4 speed.

A local used car dealer who called
himself "Hillbilly" Duncan raced this
M/SA coupe. The car was a
consistant winner.

1966 F-85 Delux Holiday Coupe.
I had these 442 decals I had made
so I built this car and put them on the
quarter panels. There was a local
Olds dealer who called himself "The
Rocket Man" so I put that decal on
the deck lid.

When Olds first released the 442 it was
advertised as a police car option. My
model will be an exact copy of a F-85
Delux four door sedan with the B09
option. Olds actually built a few of these
sedans. There is one of them in one of
the Frankie and Annette beach movies
of the 60's.

This was the first car I ever painted with
automotive paint. It's Agean aqua. This
car also has one of the first bench seats
I ever made and it also is one of the few
models in my collection that has the
correct interior. Most all of the later kit
releases have the wrong interior in them.

I had a hard time finding the 72 JoHan
442 kits when they were brand new.
This particular Holiday Coupe has the
unusual stripping found on the hood.
