This is my number one favorite model. I started out to build a backdrop that I could use to photograph my newest finished model vehicle. After working on it on and off for 10 years and building as much detail into it that I possibly could it became a work of art, a lifetime achivement. Most all of the people on the ship are either family, friends or islanders. I remember riding on this ship when it was brand new. I was a teenager then but I never forgot watching the lake disapear under the bow as we made our way to the island. Many more photos of this boat can be found here.

When I bought this model kit I never intended to build it I just liked the box it came in besides it's too small a scale. I made the 1/25 diorama out of the red Revell 56 Ford pickup, a Gorgi diecast motorcycle and a resin figure. All of the decals were made on my Alps printer. I drew the background with a blue pencil. The store behind the motorcycle is "Carl's Hobby Shop"

The Smother's Brothers SS/F 69
Cutlass W-31 has been on my most
wanted list ever since I first saw the
real car over 30 years ago!

My 1957 Ford was on the cover of
Model Car Journal in Feb 1995. I
had a hand in making the master for
the resin and handmade all of the
supercharger items on the engine.
If I won the lottery the absolute
first thing I would do is buy a real
supercharged 57 Ford!

The 1954 Olds Super 88 has always
been a icon to me. With it's panoramic
windshield and powerful engine this
model/car will always be one of my
all time favorits.

The 1955 Ford Victoria friction promo
model was the second model I ever
owned. It was the first one I ever
modified. I took the removable hood
ornament off and put a piece of clay
in to fill the hole. That was the start on
my modeling career. This Ford is a
resin body with a 1953 Lindbergh
Ford roof on it. All of the decals
were made by me as well as the
hubcaps. This was also my first
attempt at some box art.

This is what a Nomad looks like with
a AMT 57 Bel Air roof and deck lid.

Chevelle SS454's are extremely cool
even if they come pre-painted. Just
add vinyl top and bare metal.

Open steel wheels, dog dish hub caps
and red line tires give this GTO a
real retro look.

Authentic colors highlight this 1956
beauty. I've wanted one of these
ever since they were new.

This model appeared in the January
edition of Hot Rod magazine. This one
was really fun to research and build.

It's a hemi powered 1957 Savoy and
it's 100% accurate down to the 37
homemade decals.

I took a 4 door Tahoe promo and cut
11 scale inches out of the middle to
create this 2 door version.

When I cut this all apart I cut the
excess from the back of the roof
so there is no visible seem.

Ya' gotta love this little 6 cylinder
Fordomatic grocery getter.

The Fordomatic and the white walls are
the only options on this car. The resin
body was a Courier. I guess that makes
this a Ranchero Courier Ranch Wagon!
